Lewis Michael Gurkin, age 71, of Garner NC died Wednesday May 24th 2023 at Wed Medical Center in Raleigh. He was born April 6th 1952 in Washington NC to the late Lewis Milliard “Pete” Gurkin & Gladys Jones Gurkin. He graduated from Chocowinity High School in 1970, and from Wake Tech in 1973. He worked with computers for the rest of his career.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Pleasant Gurkin of the home, his son Scott Gurkin & wife Becky, grandson Kaleb Harris of  Raleigh, his brother Jack Gurkin & wife Brenda of Pinetown/Bath NC, & his aunt Ada Jean Gurkin of Ridgewood in Washington NC.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
