From Beaufort County Emergency Services:

BATH, N.C. – An investigation is underway into a fire that damaged a Bath residence on Monday.

At 4:13 p.m. Monday, first responders were dispatched to a residence located at 1807 Creek Road in Bath after two occupants reported that a fire had broken out in the attic.

Crews from Bath, Bunyan, Pinetown and Sidney fire departments, along with Beaufort County Emergency Services and the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the fire.

Upon arrival, crews reported that the second floor of the home was fully involved in fire. They proceeded to extinguish the fire.

No injuries were reported. Officials are investigating the cause of the fire and are also determining the extent of the damage caused by the fire.

Officials had no further updates as of Monday night.
