In a classic David vs Goliath matchup, the Washington Whitecaps swam against Tarboro, one of the biggest teams in the league. Tarboro has more than 130 swimmers and has won the league championship for the past several years. Whitecaps head coach, Scott Pake, said they were very outnumbered but still had great swims and won several events.

Cole Blanks won everything he swam. He won the 9-10 boys 100-meter individual medley, 50-meter freestyle, 50-meter butterfly, and was a part of the winning 200-meter freestyle relay.

Aubrey Woolard also won multiple events. She placed first in the 13-14 girls 50-meter freestyle, 50-meter butterfly, and 50-meter backstroke. She was also in the 14 and under 200-meter freestyle relay that finished second.

Lucas Blanks finished first in the 7-8 boys 25-meter backstroke and the 8 and under 100-meter freestyle relay.

Wallace Atkins and Wren Tyson both placed first on relay teams. Atkins was in the 8 and under 100-meter freestyle relay while Tyson competed in the 10 and under 200-meter freestyle relay. Atkins also got second in the 6 and under girls 25-meter freestyle and backstroke.

Anna Brey Pake and Miller Tyson also swam well. Brey Pake finished second in the 11-12 girls 50-meter freestyle and breaststroke. Tyson had three-second places finishes in the 13-14 boys 100-meter individual medley, 50-meter backstroke, and 200 freestyle relay.
