There is nothing wrong with being a follower, but you need to know who you are following. Some people will lead you in the wrong direction, so you should know who you are taking counseling from.

Do not take counseling from the ungodly because they don’t have the kind of counseling that can help you and they aren’t able to help themselves most of the time. Psalm 1:1 v.

Jesus is our best example. Jesus said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. Luke 9:23 v.

I see it all the time how people make bad decisions following the wrong people. If I am a leader and I don’t know where I’m going and I make bad decisions, I can’t help you get where you need to be, because I can’t even help myself.

The word of God tells us to be aware of false prophets which come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Matthew 7:15 v.

Watch people’s lives, by their fruits you will know them for an apple tree will not bring forth oranges.

Be careful as a follower with who you decide to let lead you. The best leader of all is Jesus Christ, the true and living son of God, and if you follow him, you will find that you followed the right leader.

You must be a good follower before you can be a great leader. A great leader possesses self-awareness, has great credibility, focuses on relationship building, has a bias for action, exhibits humility and empowers others. Peter 5: bv.

The greatest quality a true leader can have is vision. That’s the ability to see the big picture of where their team is headed, what it is capable of and what it will take to get there.

A follower is one who gives full loyalty and support to the leader. Followers may be people who attach themselves either to the person or beliefs of another. A follower is a person who believes in a particular cause, faith or specific person and one who accepts the guidance, command or leadership of another person. Followers always support their leader.

To be a follower of our savior Jesus Christ is to strive to conform our lives and actions to him. Jesus has the greatest quality of a great leader. We, as followers, should always put Jesus first and expect success.
