Mr. Wesley Kindell Jones, age 52, a resident of Washington, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at ECU Health Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, July 28, 2023, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.
A Celebration of Life will be held 7:00 PM Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the home of his sister, Ashley Jones Padgett, 803 Isabella Avenue Ext., North Shores, Washington, conducted by Pastor Cassidy Salter.
Mr. Jones was born in Morehead City, N.C. on April 27, 1971. He was the son of David Ward Jones and Virginia Dare Lewis Jones. Mr. Jones was a 1989 graduate of Washington High School. He graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan College with a BS degree in business. Mr. Jones was Senior Vice President and District Manager for State Employees Credit Union. He served as coach for many Optimist Club sponsored teams. Mr. Jones was a member of the United Methodist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf, going to the beach, painting and being an accomplished Grill Master.
On August 7, 1993, Mr. Jones married Kirsten Alicia Cooper, who survives.
Surviving with his wife, Kirsten are his children, Beck Jones of Durham, Alice Jones of Greensboro; his parents, David and Virginia Jones; brother, David Ward Jones, Jr. of Corpus Christi, TX; sister, Virginia Ashley Jones Padgett of Washington; nieces and nephews, Collin Tavis Jones, David Matthew Jones, Mikaela Dare Jones Morris (Joshua), Cameron Reed Padgett, Joshua Ward Padgett, Julia Marie Ratliff, Andrew Cooper Ratliff; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Janet Cooper; brother-in-law, Derek Cooper and sister-in-law, Kendra Ratliff (Timothy).
The family will receive friends at other times at home.
