Mrs. Karen Lynne Tuten Tetterton, age 63, a resident of Frederick Road, Chocowinity, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023, at her home.

Per her request, there will be no services.

Mrs. Tetterton was born in Beaufort County on December 17, 1959.  She was the daughter of the late Roy Franklin Tuten, Sr. and Alma Gray Rowe Tuten.  Mrs. Tetterton was a retired Certified Nurse’s Assistant I.  In her spare time, she enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to music.  Mrs. Tetterton loved her grandchildren and was a devoted mother to her daughters.

Mrs. Tetterton is survived by three daughters, Ashley Corprew of the home, Brandi Burney and husband, Jaevious Burney of Chocowinity, Amanda Tetterton of Washington; seven grandchildren, Tre’von Corprew, Coree Corprew, Erica Corprew, Emma Burney, Aria Burney, Zechariah Keech, Alee Lilley; and two sisters, Joanne Tuten of the home, Sue Davis of Pantego.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tetterton was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Tuten, Jr., and Donald Tuten and one sister, Anita Tuten.
