On Oct. 23 officers with Washington Police Department and Washington Fire/Rescue responded to a report of an individual who had been shot in the 1100 block of Van Norden Street.  Upon arrival officers located a 58-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot.  The victim was transported to ECU Beaufort Health for treatment.  The suspect was known to the victim.  This incident stemmed from a disagreement over a civil matter.  A suspect in this case has been identified as Tyrell Blount and warrants are pending.

Last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black hooded sweatshirt or jacket and a black hat with a white “A” on same.  Last known to be operating a silver 2013 Toyota Avalon with NC registration KDV-4288
