On Friday, Nov. 3, the Washington Walmart (570 Pamlico Plaza) celebrated the completion of a 16-week remodel of the store. Shoppers can expect to see; a resurfaced parking lot, a pharmacy at the front of the store, newly renovated bathrooms and the addition of a mother’s room, a grab and go section with snacks, sandwiches, salads and beverages as well as a dollar section and upgraded apparel sections with new brands exclusive to Walmart.
Store Manager Reed Clark said the changes will help make shopping more efficient and provide more items for shoppers to choose from.
During the celebration, Walmart presented checks to the Washington Police Department ($1,800), Washington Housing Authority ($1,000), Beaufort County Community College’s Industrial Training Workforce ($500), Purpose of God Annex ($250) and Eagle’s Wings Food Pantry ($250).
