– Belhaven’s Inaugural Veterans Color Run 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run: Nov. 11, 9 a.m., 914 E Main Street, Belhaven, NC. Wear patriotic colors; a portion of race proceeds go to Pack4Patriots.

– The Turnage Theatre – Arts of the Pamlico: Beaufort County Community Orchestra Inc on Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. and the USAF Heritage Brass Concert on Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. Military ID holders receive concession discounts on Nov. 11. Both of these concerts are free.

– On Saturday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m., at Veterans Park on Third Street in Washington there will be a service hosted by the American Legion and the American Legion Auxillary. Rain Date is Dec. 7 and will be honored with Pearl Harbor Day. Veterans and the public are invited to attend.

– On Saturday, Nov. 11 at 10:45 a.m., at Zion Episcopal Church (7302 U.S. Hwy 264 E., Washington) there will be an outdoor special service to commemorate Veterans Day introduced by Robert White, a bagpipe player from Raleigh. Hymns will be accompanied by Mr. James Hackney, a trumpet player. In case of rain, the event will be held inside the church.

– On Saturday, Nov. 11, the Town of Belhaven will honor Veterans Day with a free concert at 3 p.m. by the waterfront on Water Street. Musicians will either be veterans or have current ties to the military. Performing on Saturday will be JP Guhns at 3 p.m., the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band at 4 p.m. and following will be Michael Fleming, Diamonds and Whiskey and Mikele Buck Band.
