Stoop tabbed ODAC Player of the Week for third time

BRIDGEWATER, VA — For the third time this season, Bridgewater College and former Pungo Christian Academy volleyball player Reagan Stoop has been named Old Dominion Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
The Belhaven, N.C., native recorded her 16th kill/dig double-double of the season in a 3-1 win against Roanoke last Thursday. The outside hitter registered 17 kills and 16 digs while also having an impressive kill per set of 4.25 and scored 18.5 points averaging 4.63 per set in the match.
Stoop, a freshman, is second in the ODAC and tied for 10th in all of Division III in points with 494. She also is perched second in the ODAC and is ranked 13th in DIII with 423 kills. Finally, Stoop sits just outside the top-10 in the division ranking 13th in kills per set with an average of 4.19.
At PCA, the 6’0 outside hitter led the Raiders to consecutive state championships her junior and senior year. She was a four-time All-State, Tar Heel Independent Conference Player of the Year and tournament Player of the Year award winner and holds PCA’s career record for kills, service points and aces.
Bridgewater finished the regular season 23-6 after a loss to Averett University in the ODAC tournament quarterfinals.
Stoop led the Eagles in points, kills and service aces and was named the Division III National Player of the Week earlier in the season.
