Mr. Wilson Eric Dunbar, age 73, a resident of Plymouth, NC died Wednesday December 6, 2023, at ECU Medical Center in Greenville.

No services will be held.

Mr. Wilson was born in Beaufort County on August 18, 1950, the son of Edward Wilson Dunbar and Margaret Elizabeth Russ. He was a 1968 graduate of Pantego High School. Mr. Wilson worked as a commercial fisherman.  He was a true outdoorsman, loving to fish, hunt, and trap.  He also enjoyed watching sports and baseball and was a Braves fan. Mr. Wilson was a member of Union Grove Church of Christ.

He is survived by his daughter, Christine Dunbar of Belhaven; son, Eric Dunbar of Belhaven and brother, Edward Timothy Dunbar of Pantego.

Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Roberson Dunbar on May 15, 2000.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
