Hello, this is Julio Morales with an urgent announcement from Hyde County Schools. Due to the inclement weather forecast, all of Hyde County Schools will have an Early Release Day tomorrow, Tuesday, January 9th to allow all students and staff to get home ahead of the weather event. Ocracoke School will dismiss at noon and Mattamuskeet School will do so at 12:30pm. All afterschool and sports activities are cancelled as well as the PTO meeting at Mattamuskeet. If this release affects any students taking community college classes, these students need to contact their professors to make them aware of this early release. We apologize for the inconvenience.
