Arlene Boyd Morin, age 76, a resident of Sunset Beach, NC died January 24, 2024, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday February 1, 2024, in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and will be officiated by her cousin Marty Alligood. Pallbearers include Matthew Staver and John Staver.

Mrs. Morin was born in Beaufort County on July 14, 1947, daughter of the late Ernest Alton Boyd and Marthenia Maybelle Waters. She spent most of her career working as an office manager. On April 8, 1996, she married Roland C. Morin, who survives her. Arlene enjoyed art, photography, arranging flowers and reading books. She was a wonderful cook and canner; her family will remember her with fondness for her humor and hilarious Facebook posts. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Roland C. Morin and several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Everett, a brother, Colton Boyd, and sister, Ester Malmfeldt.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday January 31, 2024, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
