ROPER, NC — Jean Holloman Griffin, 88, of Roper, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Hospice House in Greenville, NC.
Jean was born on March 18, 1935 in Martin County to Phillip Otto Holloman and Frances Jernigan Holloman. She attended and graduated from Williamston High School in 1953.

On December 7, 1957 she married John Reginald Griffin, Sr. and they were married over 55 years before his passing in 2013. She was a faithful member of Roper Baptist Church. She loved to cook and would often carry food to friends and neighbors. She also sent many cards of encouragement to others over the years.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son Steve Jones and wife Jenny; daughter Fran Howell and husband Glenn; son John Griffin Jr. and wife Mary Gwen; sister Patsy Holloman and brother Phil Holloman and wife Roxanne. She also had five grandchildren; Forrest Howell (Whitney), Daniel Howell (Kayla), Cameron Howell (Grayson), Caleb Woolard (Miranda) and Olivia Griffin.

Visitation and Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 with visitation from 12:00 to 12:45 pm and funeral service at 1:00 pm at Roper

Baptist Church. Burial will be at 2:30 pm at Woodlawn Cemetery in Williamston, NC.
