The Washington Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce named Warren Allen as Young Professional of the Year at its 120th annual banquet held at the Washington Civic Center in January. Allen, known for his roles in local businesses including the 1906 Bistro and Bourbon Bar and Elite Truck, was recognized for his significant contributions to the community and his leadership among young professionals in the region.

Commended for his consistent positivity and volunteer spirit, Allen’s impact extends beyond his business acumen. He has been instrumental in driving initiatives that have significantly enriched the local business landscape.

Upon receiving the award, Allen expressed both surprise and gratitude, noting the collaborative nature of his success.

“It feels like an award for the team,” said Allen. He credited his wife Katherine, and his colleagues at the 1906, West Main and Elite Truck for their collective efforts.

The young professional community has played a pivotal role in Allen’s career, offering networking opportunities that have led to valuable partnerships.

“I’ve benefited directly with several new friendships,” remarked Allen, highlighting the importance of community engagement for professional and emotional well-being.

“Many entrepreneurs and professionals early in their careers can feel isolated,” said Allen. “It’s not all business or sales pitches in these groups. Much of it is just being there to support friends on their path.”
