Douglas Everett Ford, age 64, a resident of Chocowinity, NC died Saturday March 16, 2024 at his home.

Mr. Ford was born on August 11, 1958, in Wake County to the late Robert Lee Ford and the late Winifred Tadlock Ford. On November 20, 1999, he married Judy Elaine Ainsley who survives. He was a carpenter all his life. He made spiral staircases, made trim for homes, and turned bowls from wood. His hobbies included collecting and shooting guns. His favorite gun was the Ruger. He also enjoyed fly fishing. Mr. Ford was a member of Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Chocowinity.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a stepdaughter, Lisa C. Morris and her husband Ronnie Morris of Vanceboro NC; stepdaughter, Kimberly Roof of South Carolina, and Chad Davenport from Nags Head NC; grandchildren, Josh Huffman, Kelsey Huffman, Brandi Whitehurst, Courtney Tabernes, Christian Ivey; sister, Roberta Lewis and her husband William Lewis and son.

He is preceded in death by his parents and stepmom, Ann Ford.
