Local professionals will soon have the opportunity to sharpen their leadership skills and support a good cause, as the Relate, Innovate, Impact Conference prepares to open its doors at the Washington Civic Center on April 16.
This first-of-its-kind event in Eastern North Carolina is generating significant buzz among the business community, with expectations of presenting world-class content and networking opportunities. The conference aims to equip professionals with the skills needed to lead today’s workforce into a promising future.
“This conference will give leaders tools to increase productivity and effectiveness by teaching how to overcome distractions and achieve your goals, cultivate a drama-free workplace, leverage employee genius and think like an entrepreneur,” shared Pam Pippin, owner of Pippin Resource Group, the event organizer.
Keynote speakers include Kary Oberbrunner, an author and TedX speaker, and Alex Dorr, who will offer insights into Reality-Based Leadership. Moreover, attendees will benefit from a Working Genius Assessment, led by Pippin, aimed at enhancing individual and team performance.
“As a business owner in Eastern North Carolina, I am thrilled for the opportunity to support the Relate, Innovate, and Impact Conference,” said Paige Allen Harris of Flatlands Insurance Group. ”National influencers like Oberbrunner and Dorr visiting our small town to share their wisdom is rare. Their information will strengthen our team’s business practices, which will, in turn, positively influence our community.”
With a full-day schedule from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., regular admission is set at $299 per person, and for those seeking an exclusive experience, a VIP add-on with Oberbrunner is available the day before the conference, featuring a signed book and a souvenir glass.
“Sometimes, we think we are too busy for leadership development, but we have to take the time and invest,” emphasized Catherine Glover, Executive Director for the Washington Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to the practical leadership tools, the event is community-focused, with proceeds benefiting the local youth through Bright Futures. Tickets can be purchased at www.pippinresourcegroup.com, with more information available by contacting Pippin at 252-944-8803 or Glover at 252-945-1203.
Limited scholarships are available to cover admission costs. This initiative, a collaboration with the RiversEast Workforce Development Board, is designed to support small businesses facing budget constraints. To qualify, businesses must be registered with the Secretary of State, have 25 or fewer employees (including W2 and 1099 contractors), and be located in the RiversEast Region, encompassing Beaufort, Bertie, Hertford, Martin or Pitt Counties. They will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
For businesses and individuals alike, the Relate, Innovate, Impact Conference represents not just an occasion for professional growth, but also a chance to contribute to the broader community, aligning personal advancement with social responsibility.
