Brenda Brooks Magee, age 74, of 201 Circle Street, died Sunday, May 5, 2024, at her home.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Harvest Church with Brian Oliver officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

Brenda was born on January 7, 1950, to the late Bobbie Clyde and Ella Woodson Brooks of Ohio. She was a homemaker, and a member of Harvest Church. Brenda loved praying for people and Christian art, especially painting pictures, writing poetry and sewing. Brenda was a Christian missionary with her parents in Japan when she met Bill Magee of Aurora, NC. After a 6-month courtship they were married February 26, 1972 in Camp Zama Army Chapel in Japan.

Survivors include, in addition to Bill, her husband, son, Allen Magee (Kelly) of Acworth, GA, daughter, Ann Magee of Jacksonville, NC, brothers, Tim Brooks (Teruko) of Ft. Myers, FL and Nathan Brooks (Kate) of Dayton, OH, sisters, Dora Hammond of Hilham, TN and Bobbie Jean Riley (Jay) of Centerville, OH, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
