The Greater Bath Foundation is ready more than ever to host its annual Memorial Day Celebration this Saturday, May 25. Last year, predictions of a soggy and stormy weekend doused any hope that a concert by The Embers ft. Craig Woolard and a 45-minute firework show would happen.
Beginning at 6 p.m., delicious smells of dinner and dessert will emanate from 13 food trucks. Those being: Keyzers Catering, Taco Express, Skylight Inn, Kona Ice, Funnel Cake Shack, Traveling Tom’s Coffee Truck, Big Belly Deli, Pops-n-Pucker, Knights of Columbus, Coastal Concessions, The Lemonader, Bill’s Famous Lemonade and Warren’s Hot Dogs.
The Embers ft. Craig Woolard will have a crowd movin’ and groovin’ the evening away, until Woolard sings the last note of “God Bless the USA” at which time one of the largest firework shows in Eastern North Carolina will begin around 9 p.m.
The celebration is free to attend, and there is no charge to park.
The Greater Bath Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, established in 2016, that raises funding for beautification and infrastructure projects in the Town of Bath. They’ve planted and maintained live oaks that greet visitors and residents by the bridge on Highway 92 in addition to helping the Town of Bath acquire grant money for updates to its sewage system, according to foundation president, Jason Pair.
