Mr. James Edward Benston, 90, of Yanceyville, North Carolina, formerly of Engelhard, North Carolina, departed this life on Friday, June 21, 2024.

His life will be celebrated 1:00 PM Sunday, June 30, 2024, at St. Lydia Baptist Church of Swan Quarter, NC.

Burial will follow in the Faithful Hannah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, June 27, 2024 from 4 – 7 PM, at People’s Memorial Chapel.

Arrangements are entrusted to People’s Funeral Establishment, Washington NC.
