The combined Washington Whitecaps/Minges Makos youth summer swim team defeated Ayden Golf and Country Club, 576-446, earlier this week.
Anna Brey Pake won swimmer of the meet honors with victories in the girls 14u 100-individual medley (1:19:50), the 50-breaststroke (43.03) and as part of the mixed 200-freestyle relay (2:48.71). She finished second in the 50-freestyle in 31.53 seconds.
Wallace Adkins captured the girls 8u 25-yard freestyle in 19.46 seconds and the 25-yard backstroke in 24:55. She finished second in the 100-individual medley (1:56.66) and was part of the third place 100-yard mixed freestyle relay (2:23.94).
Aubrey Makepeace was part of the 12u girls first place mixed medley relay, was second in the 50-butterfly (42.36), third in the 50-breaststroke (49.96) and fourth in the 100-individual medley (1:34.09)
Penelope Valverde was part of the third place 6u girls mixed 100-freestyle relay, finished fifth in the 25-backstroke (51.06) and sixth in the 25- freestyle (42.34)
On the boys side, Camden Hamilton led the way with victories in the 50-freestyle (34.12), the 50-backstroke (44.40) and was part of the winning mixed 200-medley relay team. He was runner-up in the 50-breaststroke in 48.15.
Jordan Truesdell was part of the second-place 12u mixed 200-freestyle relay and was third in the 50-breaststroke (55:59 and fourth in the 50-freestyle (42.37)
Grover Russell finished sixth in the 8u 25-freestyle (32.98) and seventh in the 25-backstroke (42.79)
The Whitecaps next meet is July 16 in Minges Natatorium.
