Goose Creek State Park offers options for primitive, RV, and recently built camper cabins for every type of camper. Camping is a fantastic way to enjoy the outdoors and escape everyday life, even if you are camping locally.
Primitive camping offers 14 different sites each with a fireplace and a charcoal grill for $15 a night. Goose Creek does not allow you to chop any wood on site, however they have bundles of wood available for eight dollars a bundle.
For campers who also enjoy fishing, there is a dock at the back of the camping area where people enjoy trout fishing.
The primitive campsites also have easy access to hiking trails for campers who enjoy hiking; all the hiking trails are connected so you can get to any point in the park using the trails.
It is recommended to book campsites for weekends or holidays a few weeks in advance to guarantee you get a site. There are also restrooms and water available for campers.
For those who are interested in camping but not as interested in sleeping outdoors, Goose Creek offers RV camping and camper cabins.
They have 22 RV campsites that each have access to full hook-ups (water, electrical, and sewer) and six camper cabins that were built right across from the bathhouse a little over three years ago which come with AC and power. RV sites cost $36 a night, while the camper cabins cost $78 a night with a two-night minimum.
“There is something for everyone to enjoy,” Park Ranger Cameron Teague said. “Regardless of if you are sleeping in a tent in primitive camping, or in one of our camper cabins anyone can enjoy spending time out here.” Goose Creek also offers military and senior citizen discounts for RV and camper cabin sites. They also have group camping available for $45.
