Washington man arrested for statutory rape and indecent liberties with minor, multiple law enforcement agencies involved

From Havelock Police Department
In March of 2024, officers with the Havelock Police Department began an investigation into the allegations of sexual misconduct involving a minor. Officers were able to identify Cornelius “CJ” Farris-Cobb, 29, of Plymouth St. in Washington, North Carolina as the perpetrator.
As a result of the investigation, the Havelock Police Department charged Farris-Cobb with one count of felony statutory rape of child under 15 and one count of felony indecent liberties with a minor.
On July 23, 2024, the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force located Farris-Cobb in Beaufort County and he was taken into custody. He was arrested on Tarboro Street with assistance from Washington Police Department. He is currently being held at the Craven County Jail under no bond.
