Washington alumni, Duke safety Terry Moore leads team in interceptions

DURHAM, N.C. — Duke junior and Washington alumni Terry Moore is making his presence known on the football field again this season.
Going into Saturday’s game with Middle Tennessee, the Blue Devils safety has 11 total tackles, eight of them solo, with three assists and a forced fumble. His biggest accomplishment so far is he’s had an interception in two straight games.

In the season opener, Moore had a pick in a 26-21 win by Duke over Connecticut. The interception ended a drive with the Huskies leading 21-20 and led to Duke’s go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The following week, at Northwestern, he had an interception on Northwestern’s second offensive series. He also forced a fumble later in the game.
His two interceptions lead the team. No other player on the Blue Devils has an interception.
