The Beaufort County Concert Association (BCCA) has generously contributed to the Beaufort County Arts Council’s youth programming budget, further solidifying their dedication to nurturing the next generation of artists. This support was made possible through BCCA’s outreach program, to which members may choose to make contributions. With this additional support, the BCCA is helping to ensure that local arts programs remain vibrant and accessible for years to come.

With over 28% of children in Beaufort County living in poverty, these arts initiatives are more critical than ever. They are not just about creating beautiful works of art; they are about giving young people the chance to connect, express themselves, and build the confidence they need to thrive. Across North Carolina, more than 11% of young people are disconnected from work or school, but arts programs can help turn that around. By immersing youth in creative experiences—whether it’s performing on stage at the historic Turnage Theatre or crafting visual masterpieces—they’re gaining the tools they need to express themselves, build resilience, and stay connected to their community.
