Volleyball: PCA finished the regular season with a 10 – 9 record and a 5 – 3 conference record. The Lady Raiders went 1 – 2 on the week with a victory over Northeast Academy and losses to Northside and Northeast Academy of Aerospace and Advanced Technology. Raylee Lynch leads the team with 230 kills on the season. Anna Stoop is the team leader in assists with 402. Julia Rouse has 64 aces on the year while Stoop is not far behind with 62. The Lady Raiders host the TIC tournament this week and are the third seed. They’ll take on Albemarle School Wednesday. With a win, PCA would play for the conference championship Thursday.

Soccer: The season is over after a 6 – 3 loss to Albemarle School in the first round of the TIC tournament Monday. The Raiders trailed 4 – 0 to start the second half before Ryan Rouse and Carter Ballance scored two goals in the first 10 minutes to cut the deficit in half. The Colts answered with two goals of their own before Bruce Taylor scored the final goal to set the final score. Taylor led the team in goals this season with 12 while cousin Brooke Baxter was second with three. The Raiders lose just one senior, Luke Rouse, and should bring an experienced roster into next season.

Tennis: The Lady Raiders became playoff eligible for the third consecutive season with a victory over Christ Covenant Thursday. Pungo did fall to Ridgecroft School and Lawrence Academy in conference contests. PCA played in the TIC tournament at Chowan University Tuesday and will compete in the state tournament next week.
