YEATESVILLE, N.C. — If you follow the NBA, you know the season starts on Tuesday. You’ve probably also seen the new commercial featuring local talent.

Bam Adebayo Foundation presents $10,000 checks to two Beaufort Co. schools

Former Northside High School star Bam Adebeyo, now playing for the Miami Heat, is one of the featured young stars in the Kia Tip-Off 2024 NBA commercial. He’s seen in the first 15 seconds and featured throughout with other NBA stars.

The commercial starts with the Los Angeles Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard and the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards ready to tip off to start a game. As “Jump” by Van Halen plays, Adebayo steps in and says “Step aside Ant. Big man job.”

After that, other stars like the Jayson Tatum, who played at Duke and is now with the world-champion Boston Celtics and second-year San Antonio Spurs star Victor We,banyama. Others like Dallas’ Luka Doncic and even popular Denver Nuggets mascot Rocky join in.

According to SportsBusinessJournal.com, the commercial was filmed in July, before Adebayo and Team USA won Olympic gold in France.
