Deputies find meth while arresting Chocowinity man for outstanding warrant

On Oct. 23, deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office observed 47-year-old Linwood Michael McRoy Jr. entering the Speedway in Chocowinity. Deputies confirmed Linwood McRoy Jr. had an outstanding Order For Arrest out of Wayne County and approached him to place him under arrest. During a subsequent search of Linwood McRoy Jr., deputies located 22 grams of methamphetamine in his pocket.
Linwood Michael McRoy Jr. of Chocowinity was charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and served with the Order For Arrest. Linwood McRoy Jr. was held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under no bond.
