A development group from Raleigh will prepare 74.8 acres in Washington for a new subdivision starting next year, Washington City Manager Jonathan Russell confirmed.
The group, Alpha 13, LLC, will spend an estimated six to eight months installing sewer, water, electric, stormwater and roadway infrastructure on Leggett Road for a new 180-lot subdivision named Maple Valley. They plan to begin during the first quarter of 2025, Russell explained.
Once the infrastructure is in place, Alpha 13 will sell lots to multiple home builders. Russell said the number of builders has not been determined at this time.
The subdivision is planned to have three and four bedroom single-family homes that are priced at market rate, between $225,000 – $350,000. The homes will be build in three phases at 60 homes per phase, the city manager said.
