For the last three years, Miracle Meals has been providing free food such as bread, produce, canned goods, snacks, cakes, drinks, and meat to those in need at its current location, 712 River Road. However, with the recent sale of the property, Miracle Meals will have to relocate.
“The building has actually been for sale for the last three years,” said Bishop Samuel Jones, Jr., founder of the Purpose of God Annex. “We can’t thank the current owners enough for allowing us to lease the space at half the normal rate, which provided us a place to grow and see if our idea would work, which it certainly has.”
Jones said Miracle Meals will temporarily relocate to the Purpose of God Annex located at 1015 East 6th Street. In the meantime, Miracle Meals and the Share Shop, which provides free furniture, clothing, appliances, children’s toys, clothing, and other “wot nots,” will be closed from December 16 through January 2.
“We need that time to get everything moved and make for a smooth transition, which will require the staff from both locations,” said Jones. “We don’t plan on being here for more than six months. We are praying that between now and December 16, we will find a new location here around Washington. If anyone knows of a facility between 2,000 and 2,500 square feet that is available for a reasonable rate, please give us a call at (252) 974-1484.”
The Share Shop will remain at its current location at 712 River Road.
