DURHAM, N.C. — Washington High School graduate Terry Moore was one of 15 members of the Duke football team to earn All-ACC honors, the school announced Tuesday.
Moore, a 6-foot-1 junior safety, was one of four Duke players on the second team, joining teammates Brian Parker II (offensive tackle), Caleb Krings (offensive guard) and Kendy Charles (defensive tackle). Duke had one first-team selection, cornerback Chandler Rivers. The other 11 were on the third team and honorable mentions.
Moore has started all 12 of Duke’s games this season. He had 70 tackles, seven for loss, 53 of them in ACC games. He also had a sack and three interceptions, which led the team. Moore broke up six passes and caused two fumbles. Moore was second on the team in tackles and was tied for fifth in the ACC in interceptions.
The All-ACC team was chosen by a voting panel of 51 media members and each of the league’s 17 head coaches for a total of 68 voters, according to information from Duke’s athletic website.
Duke (9-3) finished its regular season last Saturday with a 23-17 win over Wake Forest. Moore finished with eight tackles, three assisted, and a tackle for loss. The Blue Devils will find out this Sunday which postseason bowl game they will attend.
