Police searching for teen charged in armed robbery

At approximately 5:40 p.m. on December 22, 2024 officers with the Washington Police Department responded to the 700 block of N. Respess Street in reference to a reported Armed Robbery.  Upon arrival officers determined the victim had been robbed at gunpoint by two individuals.  During the course of the investigation officers and detectives were able to determine the identity of one of the offenders.  Based on the investigation warrants have been obtained for the following individual:

Jaidyn Tuten

17 years of age

5’09”  155 lbs.

Tuten has been charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon (Armed Robbery) and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.  In addition to robbery charges Tuten has been charged with violating terms of his post release supervision.  Tuten was recently released after being incarcerated for Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill and should be considered armed and dangerous.  If you have any information regarding Tuten’s whereabouts please contact the Washington Police Department at 252-946-1444 or Beaufort County Crime Stoppers at  http://www.p3tips.com/195
