Mr. James “Jim” Holt Faucette, age 80, a resident of Greenville, NC died Sunday, January 12, 2025, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 19, 2025, in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and will be officiated by Rev. Joshua Farley. Pallbearers include Ed Faucette, Walker Faucette, Joshua Faucette, Cody Cunningham, Randy Romagna, Mason Bullock, and Saylor Tsangarides.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mr. Faucette was born in Pitt County on March 2, 1944 to the late Joseph Walker Faucette and Verna Moore Faucette. On September 3, 1965, he married Myra Elaine Midyette who survives. He was a member of Open Door Church in Winterville. From an early age, Mr. Faucette was a community leader and served many positions within his community including past North Carolina FFA and Jaycees State President, among other leadership positions. He spent 43 years with the Sherwin-Williams Company before his retirement in 2008. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, as well as fishing, and spending time at his river house on the Pamlico.
Mr. Faucette will be best remembered for his kind soul, leadership and compassion for others. His gift, to inspire and bring out the best in the people around him elevated many.
Survivors include his wife Myra M. Faucette; two children, Holt Faucette (Page) of Indian Trail, Kristy Romagna (Randy) of Winterville; four grandchildren, Jamie Bullock (Mason), Jordan Tsangarides (Saylor), Joshua Faucette, Josie Foster; two great grandsons, Grayson Holt Bullock and Steele James Tsangarides; two sisters, Josephine Lewis, Sarah Faucette, and a brother, Ed Faucette (Velma) all of Chocowinity.
He is preceded in death by a brother, William C. Faucette, a niece, Karen Lewis, and a nephew, Tony Faucette.
