Mrs. Linda Waters Burbage, age 85, a resident of 18669 US Hwy 264 East, Pinetown, died on Thursday morning, January 16, 2025, at her home.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington with Pastor Dean Fulford officiating. A private committal service will follow in the Burbage Family Cemetery. Jay Morgan, IV, Dustin Morgan, Gray Burbage, Phillip Little, Brantley Morgan, Tyner Little and Colt Morgan will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Monday from Noon until the service time at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington, and other times at the home.

Mrs. Burbage was born in Beckwith, NC on August 31, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Otis Herman Waters and Sudie Adeline Cox Waters. Mrs. Burbage was raised by the late Irving E. Waters and Katheleen B. Waters, whom she called Daddy and Mother. Mrs. Burbage was a 1957 graduate of Pantego High School. Mrs. Burbage was a proud farmer’s wife. She always enjoyed cooking for her family, farm help and cooking collards for church events. She was a member of the Bath United Methodist Church. On July 8, 1959, Mrs. Burbage married R. David Burbage, Sr., who preceded her in death on May 2, 2015.

Mrs. Burbage is survived by her children, Robin B. Morgan (Jay) of Bayview and David R. Burbage, Jr. (Zina) of Sidney. She has four grandchildren, Jay Morgan, IV (Ashley), Dustin Morgan, Davey Ann Little (Phillip) and Gray Burbage (Kayla); and nine great grandchildren: Allison Morgan, Brantley Morgan, Lillian Morgan, Colt Morgan, Tyner Little, Kinley Little, Brogan Little, Addison Gray Burbage and Hadley Burbage. Mrs. Burbage is also survived by a sister, Betty Slade (Bill) and sisters-in-law, Betsy Campbell, and Pam Burbage.
