Raymond Mayhue Lewis Jr. “Pop”, 83, passed away on January 25, 2025, peacefully at home in Virginia Beach, VA. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Paula Kaye Lewis. Ray served in the 12th Army National Guard and enjoyed his career as a parts manager, retiring after 39 years with Kline/Priority Chevrolet in Chesapeake, VA. He is known to be a kind, gentle man who loved his family. We will remember him whistling wherever he went.
Left to forever cherish his memory are his four children, Ray Lewis (Debbie), Amy Spicuzza (Mark), Lisa Blankenship (Eric), and John Lewis (Caroline); seven grandchildren who affectionately called him “Pop”: Jacob Lewis (Lynette), Joey Lewis (Chelsea), Ashley Harrell (Andy), Haley Smith (Herbert), Jones, Hayden, and Ella; and three great-grandsons: Grayson, Sawyer, and Levi Lewis. Instead of flowers, the family asks for donations to Virginia Beach Rescue Squad or the Parkinson’s Foundation in Raymond’s memory.
