WASHINGTON, NC — Mrs. Sallie Toler Boyd, 87, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Pinewood Memorial Park, Greenville.
Mrs. Boyd, a native of Craven County, had lived in Newport News, Virginia for a number of years, and later retired to Washington. She was a member of the Pactolus Baptist Church. For the past 8 years she had made her home in Huntersville, NC near her daughter.
Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her husband, James Tucker Boyd, and a son, James K. “Bud” Boyd.
She is survived by: daughters, Jane Boyd Alligood and husband, Harold, of Huntersville, NC, and Verna Gay Damouth and husband, Bob, of Washington, NC; son, Eric Paul Boyd and wife, Sandra, of Washington, NC; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wilkerson Funeral Home, Greenville, and after the service at the Snowd Branch Church of God near Washington.
