Marian P. Booth, extension program associate, received the North Carolina State Grange Search for Excellence award for outstanding teamwork in 4-H youth development from N.C. Cooperative Extension Service District Conference. Booth has worked for N.C. Cooperative Extension Service for seven years and formerly worked with the Washington regional office of N.C. North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service partners with communities to deliver education and technology that enrich the lives, land and economy of North Carolinians. It serves residents of the state’s 100 counties and the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation, providing education and technical assistance based on research from North Carolina’s land-grant universities, N.C. State and N.C. A&T State. Extension specializes in agriculture, youth, families, communities, health and the environment by responding to local needs.
