Preston Hubert Potter, 82, of Everglades City, Fla., passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011. He was born in Lowland on March 21, 1929. A wonderful husband and father, he will be dearly missed.

Hubert is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Joy Mae Potter; sons, Johnnie Preston Potter and wife Glenna, Billy Edward Potter and wife Crystal, and Gordon Potter and wife Mary. He leaves seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Vision Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Earl Sadler, Jr. and the Rev. Lee Toler officiating. Arrangements are by Bryant Funeral Home & Cremations, Alliance.
