Former Miss North Carolina Jeanne Robertson (left) shared her brand of humor with more than 200 local women at the Second Annual Women’s Lunch sponsored by the Washington/Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce at Yankee Hall Plantation. Robertson got her start on the professional speaking circuit as Miss North Carolina in the 1963 Miss America Pageant. Initially, her speaking career involved corporate events but with the advent of new media, Robertson has been appearing in sold-out one-woman shows across the country and on satellite radio where she has gained a national following.
