Betty Daly Jones, 81, went home to be with the Lord on April 29, 2009. She passed away from her earthly home, 3558 Old Pink Hill Road, Deep Run, N.C. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Lucille Daly, husband, Johnnie Raeford Jones, her son Donald Ray Jones, sister Dorothy Presson.
She is survived by three daughters, Judy Kennedy and husband Ray of Washington, Barbara Jones of the home and Pamela Hall and husband Ronnie of Pink Hill. One sister Veva Cikanek of Jacksonville.
Five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Special recognition goes to her church family at Gray Branch Church, a special friend Rachel Arnette and a special daughter-in-law Kay Hill Jones Heath of Pink Hill also many nurses with Heavens Touch in Kinston and Advantage Hospice Care in Kenansville.
Funeral Service was held on Thursday, April 30 at 7 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home with visitation following. Officiating was Rev. Ray Brown and Rev Don Gray. Interment 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 1, 2009 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Family will be at the home at other times.
