Rain put a hold on one game and forced the postponement of another during Sunday’s District 6 Jr. Babe Ruth Tournament action Sunday in Washington.
Kinston defeated Pamlico 12-4 in the only game completed on Sunday, eliminating Pamlico from the tournament.
New Bern held a 5-1 lead over Newport in the fourth inning when rain caused that game’s postponement. It will pick up in the fourth inning today at 5 p.m.
Washington’s game with Crystal Coast never got started. That game will be made up today at 6:30 p.m.
Games will continue Tuesday and Wednesday, with the championship game slated for Wednesday evening.
