Funeral service for Mrs. Mildred Flowers Rollins, age 97, a resident of The Brian Center of Wilson who died Tuesday will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Metropolitan AME Zion Church, Washington, NC. Rev. David L. Moore will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Rollins leaves to cherish loving memories two brothers, Walter Flowers of Queens, NY and Thomas Flowers (Sarah) of Washington, NC; two nieces, Joan Daniel (John) who was like her daughter of Wilson, NC and Shirley Allen of Baltimore, Md.; one nephew, Walter Flowers, Jr. who was like a son; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a host of other special nieces, special nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
A viewing will be held Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Carrons Funeral Home, 325 East Nash St., Wilson and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Metropolitan Church. The family will receive friends at all times at the residence of Mr. &Mrs. John Daniel, 1711 Washington St., Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
