Ms. Connie Lynne Winstead, age 47, a resident of 3811 Weatherstone Park Dr., New Bern, NC died Monday July 20, 2009.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and will be conducted by Pastor Phillip Jethro. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. Dayne Winstead, York Winstead, Cameron Hammond, Troy Woolard, Billy Wayne Winstead and Johnnie O’Neal will serve as pallbearers.
Ms. Winstead was born in Beaufort County on October 28, 1961 to the late Willie Wayne Winstead and Francine Woolard Webster of New Bern who survives. She was a graduate from Washington High School and attended Beaufort Community College and East Carolina University. She was assistant manager for Comfort Inn of New Bern and attended Alligood Church of God before moving to New Bern.
Along with her mother, Francine Woolard Webster of New Bern, other survivors include two brothers: Tony Winstead and wife Monica of Pinetown, Chris Winstead of Washington, four nephews: Dayne Winstead, Billy Wayne Winstead, York Winstead, Logan Winstead, one niece: Haven Winstead, one step niece: Peyton Hardin and one step nephew: Cameron Hammond.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday July 23, 2009 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and other times at the home of Tony and Monica Winstead, 2629 Pocosin Rd., Pinetown, NC 27865.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Connie Winstead Memorial Fund, c/o Paul Funeral Home, 900 John Small Ave., Washington, NC 27889.
