Mr. Mitchell “Mickey” Mallison Dixon, Jr., age 52, a former resident of River Road, Washington, NC died Friday, July 24, 2009 at Martin General Hospital in Williamston, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Unity Church of Christ, 727 River Road, Washington with Fred Wilson officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Dalmer Dixon residence, 634 River Road, Washington, NC.
Mr. Dixon was born February 17, 1957 in Beaufort County to Mitchell Mallison Dixon, Sr. and Nina Edwards Dixon. Mickey was formerly employed by TexasGulf and Associated Mines in Aurora.
Mr. Dixon is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Dixon Beeker of Greenville; two grandchildren, Nathan Daniel Beeker and Anna Leah Beeker both of Greenville; one brother, Dalmer Dixon and wife Betty of Washington and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Jean Fox of Washington.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, George Donald Dixon and a son-in-law, Randy L. Beeker.
