Former Southside and Terra Ceia boys' basketball standout Mychal Parker has committed to the University of Maryland.
Parker, who is currently enrolled at the Miller School in Charlottesville, Va., joins Maryland’s 2010 recruiting class. The native of Chocowinity is listed as the No. 53 player in the country, according to Rivals.com.
A four-star small forward, Parker also had offers from Virginia, Clemson, Miami, among others, according to Rivals.
