Santa Faye Sheppard Woolard, age 58, a resident of 5686 Highway 264 East, Washington, died Friday, August 27, 2009 at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30 PM, Monday, August 31, 2009 in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service with Pastor Travis Boyd officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, Monday, August 31, 2009 at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Highway 264 East, Washington, NC.
Mrs. Woolard was born in Beaufort County on May 21, 1951 to Jamie Sheppard who preceded her in death and Mary Coward Sheppard Congleton who survives. Santa worked as a Florist Manager at Wal-Mart for many years until 2006.
In addition to her mother she is survived by five sons, Lt. Col. Sam Lee Silverthorne, Jr. of Tampa, FL, Charlie Ray Silverthorne and wife Lisa of Jamesville, NC, Thomas Lee Silverthorne and wife Becky of Washington, NC, Bobby Nelson Silverthorne and wife Cathy of Washington, NC and Jamie Timothy Silverthorne and wife Amy of Greenville, NC; one brother, George Sheppard of Washington, NC; one sister, Kathy Congleton Jethers of Washington, NC; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her “special” friend, Ronnie Respess, who lived at home with her; and her former husband, Sam Lee “Tommy” Silverthorne whom she maintained a close relationship.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Nelson Sheppard.
