Lisa Jefferson Dupree, age 42, a resident of 312 Circle Street, Washington, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, September 5, 2009. Hallelujah!
A Celebration of her Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Washington Assembly of God with Pastor Kenneth Pritchard officiating. Burial will follow at Adams Family Cemetery. Billy Craig, Jr., Larry Everette, Jimmy Garner, Chip Jones, Gerald Masten, Will Masten and BJ Pollard will serve as pallbearers.
The family received friends from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Washington Assembly of God, 2029 West Fifth Street, Washington, NC.
Lisa was born in Beaufort County on October 18, 1966 to James R. Murdock and Edith Adams Mason. On February 21, 2009 she married Joseph B. Dupree, II. Lisa was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister who was full of life and an example to all. Her beauty and personality touched all, Lisa never met a stranger. Lisa loved to cook and entertain. Her home was always full of family and friends and love and laughter. Lisa, we will love you forever and we will see you in heaven.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband, Joseph B. Dupree, II; her children, LeAnn Paul and husband Emmanuel, Dallas Spain, Jr., Alex R. Spain, Macy Spain, McCray Jefferson and Sarah Jefferson all of Washington; two sisters, Joanna Masters and Kristy Murdock Greene; and grandchildren Isaac Paul, Marvin Paul, Jaden Spain, Alex Spain and Lynnleigh Spain.
She was preceded in death by her father, James R. Murdock.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Washington Assembly of God, 2029 West Fifth Street, Washington, NC 27889.
