Mr. William Thaddeus Paramore, age 65, a resident of 221 Hudnell Street, Washington died Thursday, September 17, 2009 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, conducted by Rev. Sonny Browne. The following will serve as pallbearers: W.T. Perry, William Gountikas, Wayne Boyd, Earl Brock, Phil Howard and Ken Harris.
Mr. Paramore was born in Beaufort County on February 14, 1944. He was the son of the late Levi Paramore and Emily Tetterton Paramore Spainhour. Mr. Paramore was a 1966 graduate of North Carolina State University. He was self employed as a civil engineer with W.T. Paramore and Associates. Mr. Paramore has been listed in the Whos Who of American Engineers. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and St. Peters Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his aunt, Louise Tetterton of Washington and cousins, Dorothy Gountikas Challis and Emily Gountikas both of Washington.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Paramore was preceded in death by his step father, Hobson Spainhour.
The family will receive friends at the home of his cousin, Dorothy Gountikas Challis, 224 Hudnell Street, Washington and after the service at the graveside.
