On Sunday at approximately 10 p.m., the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an armed robbery that occurred at La Guadalupana Tienda Mexicana on River Road near Washington.

The robber displayed a large knife and a handgun while demanding money from the cashier. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken, and no one was injured during the robbery.

The robber wore a dark-colored bandana over his face, a dark-colored hoodie, dark pants and light-colored gloves.

Anyone with information on the robbery should call the sheriff’s office at 252-946-7111 or Beaufort County Crime Stoppers at 252-974-6400. Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Callers do not have to give their names to receive rewards.
