Mr. Isiah “Big Ike” Woods, 60, a resident of 533 Downing Road, Roper, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, at his home. A visitation will be held from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. tonight at Puckett–Purkett Memorial Chapel, 300 W. Buncombe St., Roper. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ), 541 N.C. Highway 32 North, Roper, officiated by Vice Bishop Daniel L. Gilliam Jr. Burial will follow at Shiloh Memorial Garden. Arrangements are by Puckett–Purkett Funeral Service Inc., Roper.
